August 2025 marks 80 years since the founding of the Specialised Bridge Construction Department of the Dnipro Basin in Kyiv (August 1945) — known today as Mostobud.

Over eight decades, a structure originally created to rebuild war-damaged infrastructure grew into one of Ukraine's leading bridge-construction companies. Its portfolio includes more than 1,100 railway and 5,000 road bridges and overpasses — including the country's icons: the Paton Bridge, Pivdennyi, Pivnichnyi, Podilskyi, and the Zaporizhzhia cable-stayed bridges.

At a time when Ukrainian engineers are again involved in massive infrastructure restoration — now after the devastating Russian invasion — Mostobud's 80 years of experience are an especially valuable national resource.
