In 2024 the Agency for Reconstruction of Infrastructure of Ukraine completed 34 engineering structures across the country. Of these, 20 were bridges, bridge crossings and overpasses damaged by Russian military aggression on national-significance roads.
Work was carried out in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Chernihiv oblasts. In Kyiv oblast, 8 bridge crossings over the Trubizh, Zhereva, Zdvyzh, Irpin, and Teteriv rivers and one bridge over land were restored. In Chernihiv oblast, 3 bridges over the Desna River were restored.
All this is part of a large-scale process of returning Ukraine to full transport functionality — even during the war, with priority on military logistics and international transport connections with the EU.
