In 2025 the key stage of anti-emergency works on Kyiv's Metro Bridge across the Dnipro is being completed — installation of supporting arch structures into their design position.
This is a technologically complex operation: the arch elements must be installed amid active traffic above the bridge and strong currents below. The work is part of a 2-billion-hryvnia bridge rehabilitation project; the main contractor is Turkish Onur.
Completing this stage is the key condition for safely starting the capital repair itself, which calls for systemic renovation of the superstructure built by Mostobud in 1965.
