Two-way traffic opens on the Zaporizhzhia cable-stayed bridge

From 30 March 2022, the Zaporizhzhia cable-stayed bridge began two-way operation. Traffic had been one-way for over two years before that.

Two-way operation became especially relevant during wartime: the bridge provides critical connectivity between parts of the city and with neighbouring regions.

The structure's engineering potential allows for up to 60,000 vehicles per day in one direction.
