In 2023 the Agency for Reconstruction of Infrastructure of Ukraine completed rebuilding and opened traffic on 4 bridges in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, and Chernihiv oblasts. These structures had been damaged or destroyed by Russian aggression in the early months of the full-scale war.

The restored crossings became key elements of military logistics, humanitarian corridors, and the return of civilian transport in the regions.

Work was conducted under challenging conditions with priority on speed: all sites went into service as quickly as possible after demolition and construction work.
