In 2019 the Kyiv City State Administration approved the capital-repair project for the Metro Bridge across the Dnipro. This concluded a multi-year cycle of preparation — surveys, calculations, and approvals.
The approved project provided for a set of measures to stabilise the load-bearing reinforced-concrete arch-cantilever superstructure, built by Mostobud in 1965.
This step was key for the subsequent 2024 tender, which determined the contractor for the 2-billion-hryvnia repair.
