Major overhaul of the bridge on the Odesa–Reni motorway of state significance (direction to Bucharest), km 52+789. Works carried out in 2016–2018. The site is located in a seismic zone.
Client: Odesa Oblast Highways Service.
Construction period: 2016–2018.
Key scope:
demolition of the old bridge's reinforced-concrete structures — the monolithic slab and footways, superstructure beams and old pier columns;
temporary road for traffic along the Odesa–Reni state highway;
construction of intermediate river-channel piers and end supports on bored piles; pile caps and pier shafts;
as the site lies in a seismic zone, static load tests were performed on the installed piles of piers 2, 4, 6, 8 under 500 tonnes;
preparatory works for installing the steel superstructure.
