On 28 April 2021, following completion of capital repairs, the bridge over the Hadzhibei Estuary on the M-05 Kyiv–Odesa highway (km 445+432) was officially opened.
Built in 1993–1997, the structure had been one of Odesa region's most notorious long-construction sites for more than two decades — drivers could use only one side, with two lanes available.
The bridge now has six lanes — three towards Odesa and three towards Kyiv. Daily capacity rose from 35,000 to 60,000 vehicles. The site joined the «Big Construction» programme in 2020.
