Odesa, Berth 1-z for general cargo at Androsov Mole

Revisions to the hydraulic part of the Berth 1-z design were prepared by ECON Ltd. to meet the Port's need to handle general cargo in containers only.

Scope of Launch Phase No. 3-A:

• construction of the berth;

• dredging: Berth 1-z designed for 12 m depth alongside.

Technical characteristics:

• launch-phase berth length — 162.683 m;

• structure — anchored bulkhead;

• front wall — PU-32 steel sheet piles;

• screening row — 1220×15.4 mm steel tubular piles;

• anchorage — 125 mm tie rods;

• anchor wall — PU-32 sheet piles.

Construction started in 2009.
